Meet in the middle

For this project I was teamed up with two of my class mates. The three of us were supposed to take location of wherever we usually were before class and literally meet in the middle of all three locations. Based off the location we were supposed to make an installation that was inspired by an element of that place. We found this one little security camera standing off in the bushes. We thought how fun it would be if we made an attention snatching spectacle out of something that was supposed to be by design inconspicuous. After much brainstorming we landed on the idea of giving the security camera arms and have him painting a picture of what he is watching all day, everyday.

We used thrown out computer parts and wires from the library and some cardboard tubes to construct the body. We also used an old computer monitor as the canvas for our robots painting. When "Bob" was complete we carried our creation, and his painting, to the site and enjoyed the bewildered, startled, and delighted responses that Bob was getting.
