Windows and statues.

For this project we were asked to create window installations using the windows of our choice and vellum. We had to think of an invitation, question or statement for the viewers inside, looking out, of the room. For my installation I decided to cut out shapes of my favorite sculptures from around campus. I really wanted people to be struck with the question "have I seen that one before" or "do I remember were that one is?" Once I had my idea it was time to go statue hunting.

Then I made a sketch...

I preceded to cut out my shapes...

Once I had made my final choices I moved on to the vellum...

The final, somewhat tricky to make out, finished window installation. I never appreciated how hard it was to"smoothly" lay vellum on glass until this project.
